Accounting exports from the POS Manager
In this article, we will give you a brief overview of the key features, benefits and usage of our new accounting feature, which has been specially developed for our Plus & Premium customers in Germany. This feature allows you to seamlessly import your transactions from Shore into your accounting program.
It consists of two main parts: the pre-assignment in POS Manager and the creation of a .csv export in DATEV format.
1. What does the feature include?
The accounting feature consists of two main parts:
a. Pre-assignment in POS Manager:
Products, services, payment methods, etc. are assigned to accounts.
b. Creation of the .csv export in DATEV format:
All individual transactions are exported, including the corresponding account assignment in order to upload them directly to your tax advisor's accounting program.
2. Why should you use it?
a. Time saving:
Export all transactions directly from Shore and import them effortlessly into your accounting program.
b. Standard chart of accounts:
Select the standard chart of accounts (SKR03 & SKR04) and have all accounts stored automatically. However, you can also adjust them manually.
c. Transparency:
Maximum transparency by displaying all individual transactions.
3. How can I use the feature?
a. Activation in the POS Manager:
Open the POS Manager
Go to Settings > Accounting and activate the feature.
A wizard will guide you through the setup step by step.
b. Individual settings:
Select your standard chart of accounts and define individual accounts for product categories, company accounts, vouchers and more.
You can select a standard chart of accounts (SKR03 or 04) and choose between 4- and 6-digit account numbers.
Individual accounts can then be assigned to product/service categories.
In addition, other company-relevant accounts can be individually stored (vouchers, liabilities, payment types, etc.) and manual cash book transactions with associated accounts can be defined.
c. Reports and downloads:
After completing the wizard, you can generate the export for each month via Reports > Downloads. Also retroactively for previous months.
d. Flexibility after setup:
Edit accounts at any time via the accounting settings or directly on the overview of individual products.
Note: Exports can be created for previous months. The currently stored accounts are always used here, not those that were assigned to the product at the time of the transaction.
The accounts from the time the entry was created are only used for manual cashbook transactions.
For cashbook entries that were created before the accounting feature was activated, the standard accounts of the respective transactions are therefore used.
The setup should always take place in consultation with the tax advisor so that the correct accounts are stored.
5. frequently asked questions (FAQs):
Is there a connection with our current DATEV integration?
No, the feature has no connection with our DATEV integration. The export only takes place in DATEV format.
