Using AirPrint-Capable Printers
AirPrint enables wireless printing over Wi-Fi and is a feature developed by Apple.
For your iPad to use this feature, it needs to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the AirPrint printer. You can find a current list of AirPrint-capable printers directly on Apple's website.
1. Presetting Your AirPrint Printer
To connect an AirPrint printer to the Shore POS App, first follow these steps:
- Open Settings on your iPad.
- Select Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- All AirPrint-capable printers on your network will be listed. Tap the desired printer here to connect it.
- Then open the Shore POS App on your iPad.
- Tap the arrow > in the top left to open the app menu, and select Settings at the bottom.
- Select the menu item Hardware > Select Printer.
- Tap AirPrint.
All printouts will now go through your AirPrint printer.
2. Using Printer Options
This option is available to you if you haven't set a printer in the app settings.
To still be able to print receipts and similar documents in such cases, the printer options open when you tap Print. Below, we'll explain the necessary steps using a daily closing report printout as an example:
- Open the Business menu item in the app.
- Tap Daily Report and select your daily closing report.
- Tap Print Report.
- Select your AirPrint printer and confirm by tapping the Print button.
- The daily closing report will now print via your AirPrint printer.
