# Creating and Editing Users in the POS Manager

## You can create additional users for the checkout in the POS Manager.

### Adding a New User

- Log in to the [**POS Manager**](https://manager.shore.com/login).
- Go to **Settings \> Users**.

- Click **Add User** in the top right.

### Entering User Information

**User Permissions**

Choose a user role. Owners and managers have full access rights. Access rights for staff are restricted.

**First and Last Name**

Enter the employee's first and last name.

**Email Address**

Make sure to assign each user their own email address — an address can't be used more than once.

It doesn't need to be an existing email account; only the format of an email address needs to be followed.

**Lock Code (PIN)**

Assign a four-digit lock code that the user can use to log in at the checkout.

Then click **Save.**

### Editing a User

1. Click **Edit** next to the user you want to edit.
2. You can now edit the information for the user.

### Deleting a User

- Click **Remove** next to the user you want to delete.
- Click **Yes** at the bottom right to confirm.
