This article explains how to connect your Shore Pay card terminal to the Shore POS app.

Hardware Setup

Power on the device. Detailed instructions for operating the device can be found [here].

Ensure that the device is fully charged.

Log in to the Shore POS app and go to Settings > Payment Methods > Shore Pay > Settings.

Pairing Device (Bluetooth)
Starting October 13, 2025, an additional security prompt will appear during the initial pairing process.
Here’s how the new pairing process works:
1. Search for and Pair the Device
Start the pairing process in the Shore POS app.
→ If a software update is required, it will begin automatically (duration: approx. 5–15 minutes).
2. Confirm Numeric Code
A 6-digit code will appear on your WisePad 3 and your POS device (e.g., iPad).
Compare the codes and confirm the connection first on the card terminal, then in the app.
3. Successful Connection
Once the update is complete, your device is ready for use.
Testing and Everyday Use
1. Activate Shore Pay
Make sure the toggle under Payment Methods > Shore Pay is switched on.
2. Perform a Test Transaction
After successful setup, we recommend performing a test transaction.
→ Minimum amount for payouts: €1 / CHF 1 (after fees)
→ Recommended test amount: at least €1.50 / CHF 1.50
Check Location Services
Ensure that location services are enabled and that the Shore POS app has the necessary permissions for payments.

Additional Information
Devices that were paired before October 13, 2025, can continue to be used without any changes.
Minimum iOS Requirement: Version 15 or higher
