[Products & Inventory](https://help.shore.com/en/pos-cash-register-system?hsLang=en#products-inventory) # Creating & Editing Services ## This article shows you how to set up services directly in the POS Manager. ### Creating a Service in the POS Manager - Log in to the [POS Manager](https://manager.shore.com/login). - Go to **Inventory \> Services.** - Click **+ New Service** in the top right to create a new service. ### The Following Details Can Be Added: **Service Photo** You can add an image for the service. Click **Add Image** and upload a photo from your computer. The image will appear in the service details and in the checkout menu of the app when tile view is selected. **Service Name** The service name is a required field and appears on the invoice. **Category** Choose an existing category for your service, or create a new one from the dropdown menu. **Tax Rate** The tax rate is also a required field. This is where you assign the appropriate VAT rate to your service. **Description** Optionally, add a short description of the service here. It will appear in the service details. **Sale Price** Enter the sale price including VAT. Using the dropdown menu next to the price field, you can choose whether the price is **fixed** or can be adjusted at the point of sale. **Recommended Price** Optionally, you can set a recommended price for the service — for example, as guidance for your team. **Purchase Price** If the service involves internal costs (e.g. material costs), you can enter a purchase price here. The gear icon next to the field gives you access to further settings. **Barcode** Optionally, you can assign a barcode to the service. **Item Number** You can assign an item number to the service. This lets you search by item number or service name both in the app and in the POS Manager. The item number also appears on the invoice. To finish creating the new service, confirm your entries by clicking **Save**. **Note:** If you use **All in One**, your services are created in the calendar and automatically synced from there to the checkout.
