Storage Requirements of the Shore POS App
The average storage footprint of the Shore POS App is around 156–180 MB. Higher storage usage can result from cached data — for example, when product images have been stored locally on the iPad.
Note: Storage usage above 500 MB, or even several GB, isn't normal. In that case, follow these steps:
Clear the Cache (Data Is Preserved)
- Log out completely:
- First log out using your PIN.
- Then log out using your password.
- Delete the app:
- Remove the Shore POS App from the iPad.
- Confirm the prompt to remove the app.
- Then restart the iPad.
- Reinstall the app:
- Download the current version of the Shore POS App from the App Store (version 1.4.x or newer).
- Access permissions on first launch:
- Location Services: "While Using the App"
- Bluetooth: Allow
- Local Network: Allow
- Camera: Optional (for scanning EAN codes or vouchers)
- Log back in:
- First log in using your password.
- Then set up or enter your PIN.
- Wait for sync:
- After logging in, wait up to 1 minute for all product data to fully load.
