Applying Discounts During Checkout

Before starting the checkout process, you have the option to apply a discount to individual products as well as to the entire cart in the iPad checkout.

Discounting a Product

Note: When you open the Shore POS app, the checkout menu opens automatically.

  1. Open the iPad app and go to the checkout menu (Business > Checkout).
  2. Add products to the cart by tapping the desired product in the list or scanning its EAN code.
  3. For the product you want to discount, tap the % icon. You can apply either a fixed amount or a percentage discount. Confirm your entry with Apply.
  4. If needed, continue editing your cart by adding more products, assigning a customer, or adding a note.
  5. Then check out as usual.

Discounting the Entire Cart

  1. Open the iPad app and go to the checkout menu (Business > Checkout).
  2. Add products to the cart by tapping the desired product in the list or scanning its EAN code.
  3. Tap the percentage icon in the top right to open more options, then select Discount on Total.
  4. You can apply either a fixed amount or a percentage discount. Confirm your entry with Apply.
  5. If needed, continue editing your cart by adding more products, assigning a customer, or adding a note.
  6. Then check out as usual.
