Connecting the USB Receipt Printer to Your iPad

You'll need a Lightning-to-USB-A cable for this, of the kind typically included with an iPad. Follow these steps to connect the iPad:

  • Plug the USB-A port on the back of the printer into the left connector (1), and secure the cable if needed using the cable clip on the right (2).

  • Open the Shore POS App on your iPad.
  • Tap the arrow > in the top left to open the app menu, and select Settings at the bottom.
  • Select the menu item Hardware > Select Printer.
  • Tap Star to set the printer as the active device.

Your USB printer will now be used for every print job, while also charging your iPad at the same time.
