Preparing for a Tax Audit
During a tax audit, various documents and data from your POS system may be requested. This article gives you an overview of the reports and files most commonly requested by the tax office.
Please note that this article serves only as a guideline. Always consult your tax advisor to make sure you provide all required documents correctly.
1. Monthly XLS Reports
- What are XLS reports?
XLS reports contain detailed records of your POS transactions. They document monthly revenue and transactions and are often an important part of a tax audit. - How do you download the reports?
You can download these reports for each month in your POS system's POS Manager:
- Log in to the POS Manager.
- Go to the "Reports" section.
- Select the desired month.
- Download the report as an XLS file.
2. TAR Files from the Technical Security System (TSE)
- What are TAR files?
TAR files contain the secured transaction data from your Technical Security System (TSE), which is legally required. - Where can you find the TAR files?
These files are also available in your POS system's manager:
- In the POS Manager, go to Integrations > KassenSichV
- Select the TAR Export tab.
- Select the relevant period.
- Download the TAR files.
3. DSFinV-K Data
- What is DSFinV-K data?
DSFinV-K stands for "Digital Interface of the Financial Administration for Cash Register Systems" ("Digitale Schnittstelle der Finanzverwaltung für Kassensysteme"). This data contains the structured export data required for a tax audit. - How do you get the DSFinV-K data?
You'll need to request this data from our support team by email (service@shore.com). Please specify the exact period you need the data for.
4. Procedural Documentation
- What is the procedural documentation?
The procedural documentation describes the processes and workflows of your POS system and how data is recorded and processed. - How do you get the procedural documentation?
