3. Registering the Signature Creation Unit with FinanzOnline

The signature creation unit (SSE) you purchased now needs to be registered with FinanzOnline and then confirmed with Fiskaltrust.

Tip: It's best to open your Fiskaltrust account in a new tab, since you'll need information from that portal later on.

Registering with FinanzOnline

1. Log in to FinanzOnline.
2. Go to Eingaben > Registrierkassen > Registrierung einer Signaturerstellungseinheit.
3. Enter the following details:
   • Type of signature creation unit: Select "Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul (HSM) eines Dienstleisters."
   • Trust service provider: Select "PRIMESIGN."
4. Switch to the Fiskaltrust tab:
   • Log in to your Fiskaltrust account.
   • Go to Werkzeuge > FinanzOnline (FON) Meldungen.
   • Click the checkmark next to Inbetriebnahme Zertifikat: XXXXXXXXXX (AT 3) in the Meldungen table.
   • Copy or note down the serial number shown in the row Seriennummer des Signatur-Zertifikats (AT 3).
5. Switch back to the FinanzOnline tab.
   • In the field Seriennummer des Signatur- bzw. Siegelzertifikates, paste or enter the serial number of the signature certificate you copied.
   • Confirm and save your entries by clicking Registrieren.
   • Once the registration is complete, you can register your cash register and continue with the setup.

FinanzOnline will now review your data. This may take a moment. Once the check is successful, a confirmation will appear at the top of the screen:
