7. Requesting an Authentication Code

For the required receipt verification via the BMF Belegcheck App, you'll first need to request an authentication code from FinanzOnline.

The BMF Belegcheck App is available for:

• iOS in the App Store
• Android in the Google Play Store

The code is entered directly into the app when verifying cash register receipts.

Requesting an Authentication Code from FinanzOnline

• Log in to your FinanzOnline account.
• Go to Eingaben > Registrierkassen > Belegprüfung > Verwaltung von Authentifizierungscodes für App zur Prüfung der Kassenbelege.
• In the Bemerkung field, you can add a precise description of your cash register (e.g. for different business locations).

Note: A maximum of 20 authentication codes can be requested per company.

• Click Code anfordern.
• The code is generated immediately and appears in the table. Write down the code so you have it ready for receipt verification.
