Reporting: Dashboard+

The dashboard will replace the existing live reporting in the till app and POS Manager in the coming months. This guide explains the new content in detail.

Overview

The main aim of the Dashboard+ is to provide you with a quick and easy way to analyze various aspects of your business. Specific key figures are clearly grouped and presented as tiles. Many tiles also contain additional maps to visually emphasize the data.

Recognize trends

Key figures are marked with a trend at the relevant points to show you how your business is developing. The trend is calculated by comparing the current period with the previous days. For example, if you look at the last 7 days, they are compared with the 7 days before.

If the change is between -1% and +1%, the dashboard will show this as "no significant trend". Only if the value is above or below this will a positive or negative trend be highlighted.

Customize time periods

By default, the dashboard displays the sales data for the last 7 days. However, you can customize the time period by using various defaults or defining it yourself. You can also choose whether the sales should be grouped and displayed hourly, daily, or weekly.

The tiles:

Turnover chart

The easiest way to evaluate the success of a company is by its turnover. For this purpose, a bar chart is presented in the dashboard that summarizes turnover on a daily or hourly basis. We also differentiate between trade and service turnover.

Total turnover

The total turnover represents the sum of all products sold, vouchers sold and services rendered. To ensure an accurate calculation, the following deductions are made:

  • Item discounts
  • Shopping basket discounts
  • Redeemed vouchers
  • Returns (if these were made in the filtered period)

Turnover from services

Turnover from services comprises the total of all services sold (product type = service). The following deductions are also made here to determine turnover:

  • Item discounts
  • Shopping basket discounts
  • Credit notes (if these were issued in the filtered period)

Turnover from products

Turnover from products, formerly known as retail turnover, comprises the total of all products sold (product type = product) excluding vouchers sold. The following deductions are made for the calculation:

  • Item discounts
  • Shopping basket discounts
  • Credit notes (if these were issued in the filtered period)

Product margin

The product margin indicates the net profit from the sale of products (product type = product), less the purchase price. Vouchers sold are not taken into account. It is important here that the prices are properly maintained to ensure a correct calculation.

Turnover by category

To better assess the success of your product groups, an additional tile shows the turnover per category. The top category is prominently highlighted here, along with the number of items sold and the turnover generated. Below this, the next 5 best categories are listed. If you tap on this tile, a window opens with an overview of the sales of all categories.

Analyzing your inventor

The inventory tile provides important insights to determine which products are selling best and how your overall stock is developing:

Number of products sold: Shows the total quantity of items sold.
Average values per shopping basket: Shows the average value (in quantity) of the items in each shopping basket.
Top 5 sold items: Lists the five best-selling products.

If you click on the tile, a window opens with a complete list of all items sold. Here you can use the arrow icon to sort the order of the items by sales in order to immediately recognize the top-selling products.

Analysis of services

The top performances are analyzed in this tile, similar to the products. In addition to the top 5, the average shopping basket value is displayed, as well as the average number of services per shopping basket. If you click on the tile, a window opens with a complete list of the services sold. You can easily change the order using the arrow icon.

Employee sales by invoice

Please note that the calculation in this tile is based on the employee login, i.e., who was logged into the app at the time of the sale, and not on the assignment in the check-out.

After the previous analyses focused on total sales and inventory, this card offers insights into the same key figures, but in relation to individual employees. The “invoice amount” is used as a reference.

In the current version, the tile presents the employee who performed best in all values. This employee is accompanied by various cards that provide detailed insights into their sales performance:

Total sales: this card shows the total sales generated by the employee.
Average basket value: This card shows the average value of the employee's sales.
Sales by services: This breaks down the sales from services provided by the employee.
Turnover by product: This card shows the turnover from the sale of products by the employee.

The analysis at item level for employee sales is currently under development and will be available in a future version.

Clicking on the tile opens a window with the following metrics per user:

Note: At the top right, the display can be switched between Show average and Show total.
  • Turnover from services (total, average)
  • Number of services (total, average)
  • Trade turnover (total, average)
  • Number of products sold (total, average)
  • Total turnover (total, average per WK)
  • Number of invoices issued (total, average)

Turnover by payment method

This tile shows the turnover broken down by different payment methods. This gives you an overview of how much turnover was generated by cash payments, card payments, purchases on account or other payment methods. This evaluation allows you to analyze and understand the popularity and use of the various payment methods in your shop.
