5. Registering the Cash Register with FinanzOnline

Once you've registered with FinanzOnline and Fiskaltrust, and have registered and confirmed the signature creation unit purchased through the Fiskaltrust shop, you can register your cash register with FinanzOnline.

1. Information Required from Your Fiskaltrust Account

For registration, you'll need the following information:

  • Cash register ID
  • AES key (user key)
  • Check value for the user key

2. How to Register Your Cash Register with FinanzOnline

Tip: It's best to open your Fiskaltrust account in a second tab, since you'll need data from there later.

  • Log in to your FinanzOnline account.
  • Go to Eingaben > Registrierkassen > Registrierung einer Registrierkasse.

➡️ Switch to the Fiskaltrust tab

  • Go to Konfiguration > CashBox.
  • Click fiskaltrust.SignatureCloud in the table to open the detail view.
  • Copy or note down the cash register identification number.

Note: The cash register ID can consist of both numbers and letters.

➡️ Switch back to the FinanzOnline tab

  • Paste the cash register ID into the corresponding field.
  • In the Bemerkung field, you can add a precise description of your cash register (e.g. for different business locations).

Note: A Shore POS account counts as one cash register. You can use multiple iPads under this account without needing to register multiple cash registers. Only if you have two or more Shore POS accounts do you need to register a cash register for each one.

➡️ Switch back to the Fiskaltrust tab

  • Copy or note down the AES key (user key) and the check value. Pay attention to upper and lower case.

Note: The AES key is a 44-character code made up of letters, numbers, and special characters. It's followed by a four-digit code in brackets — this is the check value for the user key.

➡️ Switch back to the FinanzOnline tab

  • Paste the AES key into the corresponding field.
  • Paste the check value into the corresponding field (without the brackets).
  • Save your entries by clicking "Registrieren."

FinanzOnline will now review your data. This may take a moment. Once the check is successful, a confirmation will appear: "Die Verarbeitung wurde durchgeführt."
