How can I delete my customer data?

In this article you will learn how to manage your customer data in a privacy compliant way.

Use the function to delete your customer data in your Shore calendar to keep your customer list up to date and to ensure that you comply with EU GDPR data processing regulations.

Important information on the storage of customer data:

The EU GDPR regulations state that customer data may only be stored for as long as it is necessary for processing. To identify these customers, use the filters relevant to your business. In the next step, you will receive an overview of all customers to be deleted based on your information and you can clean up your customer database.

How does the deletion of customer data work?

Note: This function is only available for administrators.

Open your Shore calendar, click on the menu at the top left and then click on Clients.

Then click on Delete customer.

Select period

Select the period in which you want to identify customers. For example, if you select 30 days, only customers from the last 30 days will be taken into account.

Identify customers

After selecting a duration of inactivity, you define the filter to identify customers:

You can now select the customers who did not have an appointment in the selected period.

Once you have selected a period and a filter, press Apply to get to the overview of affected clients in the next step.

Note:

'No appointment' means that the client did not have an appointment in the period you selected. Customers who have an appointment in the future will not be considered.

For example, if you select 1 year, it means that we identify customers who have not had any appointments in the last year. If the customer booked an appointment and cancelled it or did not show up, it will not be included here.

Confirmation of the deletion

In this step you have the possibility to check again if there is a customer you do not want to delete. If this is the case, deactivate the checkbox and the customer will be removed from the list of customers to be deleted.

Important: Please note that the client data will be deleted from your client database. This will affect appointments, statistics and your reporting data from the past. You will no longer see the name of your client, hence it will be anonymized. However, the appointments will remain in the calendar. Instead of the client name, you will now see "Unknown client."

If you are sure that you want to delete the selected customers, click on Delete and Confirm. We will send you a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.

That's it! The selected clients are deleted.

Important: Please note that this action cannot be reversed.

How is this data deleted?

All data is deleted from our servers in accordance with data protection regulations.

This means that after deletion of the data 'unknown client' will be displayed in all reports, appointments and statistics, where the name of the customer was previously displayed.
