Checking Out with the Shore POS App

You can complete a checkout in the Shore POS app in three simple steps:

1. Select Products

Open the Shore POS app. The checkout menu opens automatically. If it doesn't, tap Business > Checkout.

Add products to the cart by tapping the desired product in the list or scanning its EAN code.

Before moving on to the second step, you can:

Adjust the quantity of products
Assign the sale to a customer
Apply a discount
Add invoice notes
Assign the product or service to one or more staff members

Then tap the amount in the top right to move on to the second step, selecting the payment method.

2. Choose Payment Method

You'll see an overview of all available payment methods. Besides cash sales, additional payment methods may be available depending on your settings and location — for example, purchase on invoice, Shore Pay (card payment), and, for customers in Switzerland, TWINT. Below, the checkout process is explained using cash payment as an example:

Select Cash Sale, enter the amount tendered using the number pad, then tap Pay (exact amount) or Create Invoice (amount tendered > total due).

3. Completing the Checkout

You'll then see confirmation of the transaction along with the amount of change due. You can also choose between:

Scanning the receipt via QR code to save paper
Sending the receipt by email — once this toggle is enabled, a field opens where you can enter the customer's email address
Printing the receipt
No customer receipt

Note: Even if nothing is printed, the invoice can still be found in your history.

Once the checkout is complete, you'll return to the checkout screen.

Combining Multiple Payment Methods (Split Payment)

You can also settle an invoice using multiple payment methods at once — for example, if a customer wants to pay part in cash and the rest by card.

Add all the desired items to the cart, then tap the green total amount bar.
You'll now be in checkout, where the total amount is shown.
Select the first payment method.
Use the number pad to enter the amount to be paid with this method.
After entering the amount, the remaining balance is displayed. The "Continue" button will still be grayed out at this point.
Now select the second payment method. The "Continue" button will then become active.
Tap "Continue," then "Done."
The receipt is then printed as usual.
